Logging for Scheduled (Command-Line) Operations

Postby gbdesai » Thu Feb 26, 2009 2:01 am

I love the new command-line capability. Now my Sabnzbd+ downloads can automatically make it to their appropriate destinations on a scheduled basis. The only thing I would like to see is a running log of activities performed (or failed) during the silent operation of the application. Right now, every so often something is not moved after a run and I don't know why, the log may clear things up a little...

Yeah, that's a good idea. It ties in with something I've been meaning to do anyway, which is a general log of actions performed.

I'll make TVRename's exit code indicate if there was an error or not, too.

This is exactly what I was going to ask about. Sabnzbd will run a batch file after downloading a tv show that can run tvrename with the appropriate command-line options to "Find & Organize". Sabnzbd already sends you an email when the download is complete giving you a log of what was done, and the only thing missing would be if it included the log of the rename and move process performed by tvrename. I'm so glad I'm not the only one interested in this. Keep up the good work Steve!
